Nikola Tesla (10 July 1856 – 7 January 1943) was an inventor and a mechanical and electrical engineer. Tesla is often described as an important scientist and inventor of the modern age, a man who "shed light over the face of Earth". He is best known for many revolutionary contributions in the field of electricity and magnetism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Tesla invented the concept of wireless energy through his Magnifying Transmitter. Although his research ate up all of his time and finances, building a huge lab and Tesla coil which generated 300,000 watts of power, he still succeeded in putting his theory to life.

Many of his concepts were copied and produced, the latest being Nokia creating a phone that charges its batteries by absorbing ambient radio transmissions.

Although gamers all around knew more about him through games like Command and Conquer: Red Alert (Soviet faction's Tesla Coil Towers) or movies where the latest being The Prestige.

His life though was a tragedy, since he fell victim to politics (his opponent was Thomas Edison, the inventor of the Direct Current). But he lives on through his concepts and wondrous inventions that someday, his name and research will be vindicated.
