Zaku costume progress so far.
I only need to finish the legs and feet, then refine the painting.
What you see is the base color of the Zaku, which is beige. I used elastomeric paint for its quick drying properties and thick texture. Im not after having it shiny, just the opposite. The overall paint job should make it convincingly unseen in a jungle environment, as demanded by the setting of the its series, the Gundam 08th MS Team.
I had a hard time trying to solve the problem with the eyes. I could never think of a way to make it swing back and forth in a half-orbit manner. So instead, i ended up having it turn in an axis, which is very limited but at least it would still look like it moves left and right. It does so, btw, through gravity: i tilt my head to the right, the eye turns right.
Solving things through the path of least resistance.
I scrapped the previous pic, and i will scrap this on my next upload.
